The Miami Valley Church Seeks Experienced Ministry Couple

Thursday, 09 February 2017 15:32

The Miami Valley Church (the Greater Dayton, Ohio region) is seeking an experienced ministry couple to lead our church into its next era. Applicants should have experience leading a church or a large region; you will oversee all aspects of the ministerial duties and groups and work with a two- (currently) or three- (bylaws) member board.

miami valley churchThe church is a mix of a mature congregation, which began in 2003 (first meeting in 1993 as a vibrant region of the Cincinnati Church of Christ), singles, campus, teens (a group of 14 teens regularly attending), preteens, and childrens ministry. We eagerly desire to begin growing our campus ministries (Wright State, Sinclair Community College, University of Dayton, and more). The church has a diverse membership and about 60 disciples.

The Miami Valley Church is part of the ACR family of churches, and works closely with the seven other churches in the Ohio Valley (Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia). We are looking for a couple who would like to continue their training with Doug and Jennifer Lambert of the Cincinnati Church, help the Lamberts strengthen the Ohio Valley, and direct the Miami Valley church in the continuing path to the first love principles disciples are called to.

Dayton is a diverse and historic city with Dayton itself, suburbs, healthy outlying cities, nearby farm country, the Great and Little Miami Rivers for active water recreation, and the fantastic National U.S. Air Force Museum (along with other museums). Dayton also boasts the tremendous history of the Wright Brothers, inventors of flight.

The church is accepting applications for this exciting opportunity. Applications can be placed through March 16, 2017, with interviews to follow.
