“Pray for Japan” On Saturday, April 2, 2011, HOPEww South Korea held a Jazz Evening to raise funds to support people in the disaster in Japan.
All donations were given to HOPEww Japan to buy water for people that were affected by the recent earthquake or tsunami. This natural disaster has left many people in difficult circumstances. Maybe thousands are homeless and left in broken spirits because they have either lost homes, possessions or loved ones. What a devastating experience. The Seoul Church of Christ decided to fast and pray for the people in Japan over the month of March hoping that they will feel God’s love, comfort and guidance during this time. We also hope that many people will turn to God as a result of this experience and seek Him only.
I hope that what the world sees as a devastating may somehow be turned into good. Such experiences make me realize that worldly possessions and treasures are of no value. It makes me realize that God, doing His will and living in holy community with His people is of high and precious value.
To the Japan Church of Christ we are thinking of you and pray for you earnestly. We urge other churches and people from all around the world to keep the disciples and non-disciples in your thoughts and prayers.
Love in Christ.
