20 years ago a small church was planted by faith in Jakarta, Indonesia, the capital of the largest Muslim nation and fourth most populous country of the world . God grew this mustard seed of faith into a church of over 1200 disciples and another 20 congregations throughout the islands. Day 4 - Sunday Service and Closing
Last day of the SEA Conference 2010 is here at last! With a renewed spirit and zeal, all the brothers and sisters once again gather together this morning at our Jakarta Church building, Menara Kuningan. Considering the number of disciples who is going to attend the Sunday Service and Closing Ceremony, we decided to separate the singles service with the married service. The Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi disciples also went to the Sunday service at Sekolah Pelita Harapan, Lippo Karawaci.
Singles went first at 08.00 AM with a great lesson about Finishing Well from our brother Cesar Lopez from Philippines, who now lead the Cambodia church. Continued next with the married service at 11.00 AM, with a lesson from our brother Takeshi Yamazaki, Tokyo church leader. We closed the SEA Conference 2010 by appointing new evangelists for Nusantara: Ivan & Alice, Charles & Sarah, Charles & Lili, Franky & Erly, and Elia. They have been leading and serving their respective ministries faithfully and set up great examples for all of us in Jakarta by their lives and faith. It is our hope to send more church planting missions to the following cities this year: Cirebon, Ambon, Palembang, Balikpapan, and Jambi. Please pray for all those mission teams.
We thank you for the Singapore and all other SEA Region churches that have been supporting us and also gave us really nice anniversary gifts. We also thank you for the Japan church that also had given us a sword (katana), to remind us that their minds and thoughts are also with us along the fields of ministry.
Most of the Nusantara disciples went straight away to their designated departure points right away after the Sunday Service. All of the SEA Church ministers stayed a few more days in Indonesia for a retreat together in Yogyakarta, to strengthen even more the bonds that we already have and also to plan for church/ministry growth for the next 10 years.
All in all, every disciple that attended this conference were fired up and got a renewed spirit to win more people for Christ. We thank you all the participants, church ministers, and everyone that got involved in making this conference a success and a very memorable one. See you all in our next conference. Amen!
