What do you use Disciples Today for? The hidden secrets of Disciples Today lead to many hidden treasures. Many of you may have realized that DT recently had a major facelift. The new DT is more than a website -- it is a portal for all the information, news, videos and connections among disciples in the International Churches of Christ around the world. - DToday.tv is the source for hundreds of videos from the World Discipleship Summit, ICMCs, parenting retreats, HOPE broadcasts and more! This site has had over 800,000 views in the last year, from over 120 countries.
- Church and campus ministry locators are some of the favorite tools of DT users. Traveling to another state? Inviting family or friends to church in another city or country? Researching campus ministries for a college search? Sending a young Christian home for the summer? The church and campus ministry locators are incredible resources to find disciples around the world (see image below). Information such as the church’s website, church size, campus ministry size, staff and contact information is easily accessible with these tools. - Our Events page is a great source for keeping track of the multi-church retreats, teaching tours, and conferences around the world. Everything from church anniversary services, worship conferences, DT singles cruises and ICOC delegates meetings is consistently updated and posted on this page.
There are several ways to search for news and announcements on DT. The primary way to search is by ministry category, such as campus, singles, Kingdom Kids, HOPE worldwide, etc. These ministry sites are accessible by scrolling over the “Ministries” tab at the top of the DT homepage, as well as by scrolling to the bottom of the page, where the top latest articles from each ministry are listed (see image on right). In addition, there are geographic categories for the whole world, such as USA Florida, Eurasia, and South America. To see more articles from a specific region, click on the link in the top left (see image below). It’s easy to Google search through our website using the search function in the top right corner of the homepage.
- The banner of flags at the top of the page isn’t for decoration; it’s a translation tool! Click on any flag to automatically translate the website into the language of that country. You can view DT in any language from Albanian to Welsh.
- DT and Facebook are now connected for a quick way to share good news. Click the “Login to Facebook” button at the top of the homepage. Share articles with all of your Facebook friends, family, by clicking on the Facebook icons on the article page. In addition, you can visit and like DT’s Facebook page to receive updates of the latest and best articles from DT.
- Want the good news sent straight to your email? eNewsletter is our bulletin of the best news from DT. Simply fill out your email address and first and last name in the subscription box on the right side of the homepage, and you’ll be added to our email list.
- Want to share DT’s news with your whole church? The International News Bulletin is a tremendous resource provided for free by Disciples Today. The bulletin is a service to help connect disciples and churches around the world. Each week we present a new template dated for the coming Sunday. You can now provide your group an international news bulletin with your local news included. Each week, DToday provides a new template for a quality bulletin that you can download, fill in your church’s announcements and information, print out and pass out to your church.
