PROFILES IN FAITH: Changing the World through Adoption

  Charlie and Tonja Ward have a close-knit family and it springs from their upbringing. Tonja’s parents were married for 44 years before her father passed and Charlie’s parents have been married for over 48 years. Charlie has six siblings and Tonja one, and in each of their families they grew up with a strong sense of faith, love, and loyalty. They are now working to create a similar environment for their own children.

Adoption: Interview with a Blessed Family

Changing the World Through Adoption Joe and Annie Silipo have been been in the ministry for over 25 years. They have served in Boston, Los Angeles, Phoenix and now serve in Milan, Italy. They had their first two children, Lynda and Joseph before deciding to adopt Sammy. Joe, Annie and Sammy live in Milan, Italy. Lynda and Joseph are both a part of the campus ministry in Blacksburg Virginia.

Blessings of Adoption - "Gotcha Day" Worth the Wait

Kyle and Marcy Lindenmuth met at the University of Maryland when Marcy was studying the Bible. Kyle had become a disciple in 1991 while attending NC State. They dated for a year and were married in August 1995. Early in their marriage they had the privilege of being close to a family who had adopted a child from China.

Toney and Denise Mulhollan. Children: Audra and Cali

Toney and Denise Mulhollan moved to Houston from Boston, Massachusetts in late 2006. They met, dated and married in the Boston Church of Christ. In fact, early next year they will be celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. Denise is an ob/gyn physician practicing in northwest Houston and Toney works as Editor for Illumination Publishers.
