What if you spent a year of your life being trained to be a disciple capable of training others and leading leaders? Starting fall of 2013, we want to invite young men and women with an opportunity to serve full-time for a year while you live with host families in the Seattle Church and participate in local, regional and foreign missions. Our goal is that you would spend a year being trained in all aspects of the full time ministry.

Replanting the “Spice Isle” in August 2013!

The Lord said to him, “Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus…(1 Kings 19:15)

And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too, at the present time, there is a remnant chosen by grace.” (Romans 11:4-5)

The Apostle Paul shared with the church in Rome, that as in the days of Elijah, God had reserved a remnant in Israel, who would respond to the gospel and turn to God. So God told Elijah to “go back the way you came”, and to trust in Him for the delivery of His people.

It is with this spirit of faith, and reliance on our God who sees the future, that the Port of Spain Church of Christ (Trinidad & Tobago) announces the replanting of the St. George’s International Church of Christ in Grenada!

All New England Staff Meeting Kicks off 2013

The Framingham building of the Boston church of Christ served as host for our 2013 kick-off staff meeting, which gathered approximately 100 leaders from around New England on January 15th.

The morning began with songs led by Tony Martin, a fairly recent hire of the Boston congregation who focuses primarily on the music ministry. Immediately following the singing, good news rose as further praise to God. Amazing stories, including the restorations of family members and conversions in France, were told in rapid fire sequence.

Disciples in the Arts Honor King Family with Song

Back In 2009, The Greater Atlanta Church of Christ (GACC) honored Mrs. Naomi Ruth Barber King with the 2009 HOPE Worldwide Living Legacy Award. Mrs. King is the sister-in-law of the late Martin Luther King, Jr. and widow to Dr. A.D. King who was also slain during the civil rights movement.

Recently, Tony Martin, teamed up with The Elements, a positive hip-hop group hailing from the Columbia, South Carolina Church of Christ. Together they produced a song "The Dream Realized." This month, together with Fabrice Clerger, from South Florida, they recorded the song. This weekend it was performed in Atlanta before members of the King Family as part of celebrating MLK day. And the King family has added the song to the MLK, Jr. archives!
