12 Disciples Dead - Detailed Report on Haitian Churches
We finally were able to talk to the leaders of the church in Port-au-Prince. Evangelist Jean Jorel and his wife Junie and their two boys are safe. They don’t have a place to live, neither does forty percent of the church that they have been able to contact so far. Right now on the church property, they have set up in the open field a makeshift community of a hundred people, among whom, disciples and non disciples where they live together with all their children.
Video Update on Disciples in Haiti
50+ disciples are huddled on the church property, in prayer, sharing their meager food with 40 friends. Their food and water will run out on Saturday. 300+ disciples are unaccounted for. At least 6 are dead. Looting is beginning. Bodies are piling up on the sidewalks.

Haiti Relief Update from the New York City Church
The New York City Church has several hundred members who are of Haitian descent. Many of them have learned that relatives and friends lost their lives in Tuesday’s earthquake. Many more are still awaiting news of their loved ones. It is definitely a difficult time.

Two Disciples and Two Children From Port au Prince Church Die in Haitian Earthquake
The largest earthquake ever recorded in the region hit 10 miles from the Haitian capital of Port au Prince on Tuesday. The death toll is expected to be over 100,000. As the poorest country in the western hemisphere, the people are suffering devastaing losses.
Two disciples and two children from the church have died and the Port au Prince church building is destroyed along with many homes. See below for what we know at the moment. New York City Church Baptizes 6 at Javits Center Service
God is at work in the New York City Church of Christ. On a cold, rainy Sunday December 13th, some 3,300 people gathered at the Jacob Javitz Convention Center in the heart of New York City to worship God.
