She would hire a 20 seater van and bring her friends to church all the way to Delhi. She did that with her own money and she earns a modest income. She faithfully attends all the meetings of the Delhi church. She is also known for her ready smile and joyful attitude.
As a single woman in India she started a ministry in her town. Women are still not treated as equal or with much respect in India yet Susan did not let that hold her back. Visitors started coming to her home. Susan would ask disciples from Delhi to come and teach. People started studying the Bible and in the last couple of months two people have been baptized.
Susan has a great heart filled with compassion. She came across a young teen who worked as a maid in someone's house. This young lady was being abused and mistreated. Susan rescued her and "adopted" her, and had her move in with her. Soon Salomi became a disciple also.
Susan lives her faith with total genuinity. She has made the most of her new life situation and born fruit from it. She is an inspiration to the whole church in a part of the world where women are not encouraged to stand out.

Susan is a single woman in her 50s. She works as a nurse. In 2009 she was invited to the 20th anniversary of the New Delhi church, She was very impressed by the love and commitment of the disciples. She was soon baptized. A few months later she got a transfer 100 km outside of Delhi to a small town called Simbhavli in a neighboring state. 100km in India entails hours of travel on pothole ridden roads and monstrous traffic jams in rickety buses, not to mention the sweltering heat.
Susan decided to make the most of her new situation...
