Profiles in Courage
What Did You Have To Go Through To Attend The ICMC?
Sometimes, we take for granted the freedom that we have to make our own decisions, to go where we want. But, we have to realise that others are not so blessed. They have to go through immmense pain and struggles just for the basic freedoms that we enjoy. Two sisters who attended the ICMC share their struggle just to attend one conference.
Sarah Armstrong
It is so faith-building when God is able to produce an incredible victory out of what, without Him, would be destined for defeat. Almost two years ago, Sarah Armstrong, a disciple in the South Florida church of Christ, experienced a tragic break up of her marriage when her husband of six years left her. Naturally, Sarah was deeply saddened by this sudden turn of events, as were her close friends. Sarah and her husband were soon divorced.

Now Meet Rena’s Mother
Rena Adriano (see last week’s story) did help someone; her mother became a Christian. Vennie is an amazing “young at heart” woman! At 72, she has so much energy that it is difficult to keep up with her.

Rena is an amazing woman! Even though she is in pain, she got out of bed and dressed herself today because she believes that telling her story is important. Every week, she comes to church in her wheelchair, greeting everyone with a big smile. She makes crafts from her bed to give to the sisters to encourage them.

“She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor.” ~ Proverbs 31:20
On February 6, 2009, HOPE worldwide lost one of its finest volunteers when Deb Rawls passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Her impact on her community and on HOPE worldwide as an organization will never be forgotten.
I Am Here With You
“Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” (John 9:2) , disciples asked Jesus when they saw a blind man. We sometimes wonder why we are going through challenges and struggles. A sister from the Hong Kong Church of Christ, May Lo, asked herself this question when she found that she had cancer and her life was overturned. However, she shares that it was the beginning of the most memorable experience of her life.
I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Gives Me Strength
