Inspiring Leadership

Do you know of someone – or are you maybe that someone – who has the ability and talent to lead in the church (small groups, Bible studies, discipleship groups) but is underutilized and more or less sitting on the sidelines. God, as always, made sure there were some stories in the Bible just for us and for the women around us who for whatever reason may be reluctant to lead.

Chronological Bible 10: David as King

David must surely have mixed emotions as he considers the future. He would be relieved to be free of Saul’s constant threats, but the mantle of responsibility is now his. He will rule over Judah alone until civil conflict is resolved seven years later when he is accepted by all the people and his kingship over all Israel is set. The most significant move David will make as king of Israel is the capture and occupation of Jerusalem, known even until this day as the City of David.
