mission team albaniaThe Christian Church of Albania is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary. It was March of 2000 when the first mission team landed in Albania to share the gospel. In those days it was scary to be in Albania, as three years earlier the country had gone through a rebellion and the government was overthrown. The mission team started to share the gospel and organized the first church service on March 12, 2000.
God blessed their faith and there were more than 400 people in the first service. The team had to rent another hall at the hotel because people kept coming. That day they organized two services at the same time, right on the spot.

The church grew as many people were baptized. The campus group was the biggest in the church. It was a joy to see so many faces added to the Kingdom, and to witness that many of them are still faithful today.

albania 2001The couple (Sajjan and Lisa Sharma) leading  the mission team was very encouraging as well as all the other disciples who were on the team with them. We thank God for their courage and faith.

To celebrate, we will have a special service. We pray that God will bring a lot of people for our anniversary especially many of those who once attended.

Our theme for the service is taken from the book of Psalms, "I was glad when they said unto us, Let us go into the house of the Lord" - Psalm 122:1

We pray that many will come into the "house" of the Lord.

In Him,

Vangjel Kojku
