Italian Student Finds God Through Google Featured

Chiesa di Cristo di Milano baptism"Solo Cristiani."

These are the words of a Google search performed by an Italian university student in October of 2014. In her pursuit of God, his Kingdom and those that could help her find it, Gemma resorted to the popular search engine to find "just Christians." The results of that search changed her life forever.

Though the exact search results have yet to be reproduced on Google, our God miraculously led Gemma to the Chiesa di Cristo di Milano, where she found disciples who could answer her long unanswered questions and point her in the direction of God, starting with a simple email.

Shortly after contacting the church, Gemma came to a Sunday service and began attending Bible discussions at the Università di Bicocca. She studied the Bible for a short time, and found women who could guide her in her relationship with God. In December of last year, Gemma became our sister in Christ proclaiming "Gesù è il Signore della mia vita (Jesus is Lord of my life)." Her baptism marked the first conversion of the newly restarted Milano campus ministry, and the answer to many prayers. Here, you can hear her story in her own words (translated into English by another sister) and see her being baptized.
